Cookie Policy

Most companies open a cookie policy by listing everything they track. Ours is shorter than that, because we do not track you.

The short version

unspecifiedmedia.com does not use analytics cookies, advertising cookies, or tracking pixels. We do not run Google Analytics. We do not run the Meta pixel or any other advertising tag. We do not build a profile of you, and we do not follow you to other websites.

This is why you are not being asked to accept a cookie banner. There is nothing to consent to.

What a cookie is

A cookie is a small text file a website asks your browser to store. It can be used to remember a preference, keep you signed in, or record that the same visitor came back. The last of those is what most tracking relies on.

What this site actually uses

Our website is a single page plus these policy pages. It has no login, no shopping cart and no saved preferences, so it has nothing it needs to remember about you between visits. We set no cookies of our own.

Our hosting provider may set strictly necessary cookies to serve the site securely and reliably, for example to balance traffic across servers or to block malicious requests. These are used to deliver the website itself and cannot identify you personally or track you across other sites. Cookies of this kind do not require consent under privacy law.

What the quiz stores

Your progress through the quiz is held in your browser’s memory while you take it. It is not a cookie and it is not saved anywhere. Close or refresh the tab and it is gone.

Nothing about your answers reaches us unless you fill in the form at the end and submit it. What happens to your information at that point is covered in our Privacy Policy.

Server logs

Separately from cookies, our host keeps standard access logs recording things like IP address, browser type and the time of a request. Effectively every website does this. The logs keep the site secure and help diagnose faults. They are not used to profile you or to target advertising.

Controlling cookies yourself

Every major browser lets you view, block or delete cookies through its settings, usually under Privacy. Blocking strictly necessary cookies can stop some websites working properly, though it should not affect this one.

If you want broader protection across the web, browsers such as Firefox, Safari and Brave block third-party tracking cookies by default, and browser extensions can block tracking scripts on sites that do use them.

If this changes

We may add analytics one day to understand which pages are useful, or advertising tools if we start running paid campaigns. If we do, we will update this page and put a proper consent banner in place before anything starts collecting data, not afterwards. The date at the top of this page will tell you when it last changed.
