Privacy Policy
Last updated August 3, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Unspecified Media LLC (“we”, “us”, the “Company”) handles information collected through unspecifiedmedia.com. We are a media, marketing and business consulting firm working with small and local businesses. By using this website, you agree to the practices described here.
We have written this in plain language on purpose. If anything here is unclear, email us at contact@unspecifiedmedia.com and we will explain it.
What we collect
We do not collect anything about you unless you choose to give it to us. There is no account to create and nothing to sign up for in order to read this site.
If you complete our quiz and submit the form at the end of it, we receive:
- Your first and last name
- Your business name and industry
- Your website address
- Your phone number and email address
- Anything you type into the optional message box
- Your answers to the eight quiz questions, and the score they produce
- Whether you asked for a free audit of your digital footprint
- Whether you ticked the boxes consenting to email or text messages
Your quiz answers are submitted together with your contact details. If you take the quiz but do not fill in the form, nothing is sent to us and nothing is stored.
Our web host records standard technical information such as IP address, browser type and the time of your visit. This is ordinary server logging used to keep the site running and secure.
What we do with it
We use the information you submit to:
- Send you the resources you requested, such as our free tips
- Prepare and deliver a free audit, if you asked for one
- Contact you about working together, and answer questions you have asked us
- Understand which services would actually help your business
- Improve our website and the quiz itself
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
Who else sees it
We use a small number of service providers to run the business. They only process your information on our instructions and cannot use it for their own purposes:
- Our website hosting provider, which serves this site and keeps server logs
- Make.com, an automation service that receives your form submission and routes it to us
- Our email and messaging providers, which deliver the messages you asked for
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or where we reasonably need to in order to protect our rights, our property, or someone’s safety.
Text messages
The text message consent box on our form is entirely optional and is never a condition of receiving anything from us. If you tick it, you are agreeing to receive notifications and appointment reminders from Unspecified Media.
Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving them, or HELP for help. You can also email contact@unspecifiedmedia.com at any time. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. You must be 18 or older to use this service.
We do not share mobile numbers or text message consent with anyone for marketing purposes. This applies to all third parties and affiliates, and is separate from every other kind of sharing described in this policy. Our messaging provider delivers messages on our behalf and is contractually barred from any other use.
If you tick the email consent box, we may send you resources, updates and offers. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link at the bottom. We will still reply to you directly if you have asked us a question, since that is correspondence rather than marketing.
Cookies
We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies on this website, and we do not run advertising pixels. See our Cookie Policy for the full detail.
How long we keep it
We keep what you send us for as long as we are in contact with you about your business, and afterwards for as long as we need to meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations. When it is no longer needed, we delete it.
Security
Information you submit is encrypted in transit using TLS. We take reasonable steps to protect it once we hold it. No transmission over the internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure, so while we work to protect your information, we cannot promise absolute security.
Your rights
Whatever state you live in, you can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Email contact@unspecifiedmedia.com and we will action it. We may need to confirm your identity first, usually by checking details you have already given us.
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act and California Privacy Rights Act give you the right to know what we collect, to have it deleted, to have it corrected, to opt out of any sale or sharing of it, to limit our use of sensitive information, and not to be treated differently for exercising any of these rights. We do not sell or share personal information as those laws define it, and we do not use it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We respond to verifiable requests within 45 days, and will tell you if we need longer.
Children
This website is meant for business owners and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Other websites
This site may link to websites we do not control. We are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices, and we would encourage you to read their policies before giving them anything.
Changes
We may update this policy as our services or the law change. The date at the top of this page always reflects the current version. If a change is significant, we will say so clearly on the website.
